McDonalds Monopoly 2007

Yes, we have updates for McDonald’s Monopoly 2008

Are you ready? Though McDonald’s has made no official announcements about a McDonald’s Monopoly 2007 promotion for the U.S., it seems they are preparing to do so. The official website for the Monopoly 2006 Game at McDonald’s was still active as of a few weeks ago, though now the page has been reset to a blank page — a possible indication they are preparing the official 2007 McDonald’s Monopoly page.

New readers may wonder why McDonald’s and Best Buy are prominently mentioned on this blog. The answer: an elaborate, legal way to obtain game pieces and the associated “Best Buy bucks” at virtually no cost — guaranteeing a “McDonald’s Monopoly-Best Buy Arbitrage“. This isn’t the first time this blog has covered the McDonald’s Monopoly Best Chance Game. But not only do I horde the coupons, I try to go overboard with the things I get. In 2004, I bought a stereo system and some other gear on Black Friday, in 2006, I bought a computer, flat screen monitor, (musical) keyboard, and a ton of other junk. This year, who knows, maybe I’ll buy a bunch of cameras or iPods.

Official site leaked

Special thanks to users of the FatWallet forums for pointing us in the right direction — earlier this week they found this site, on the earlier mentioned as-of-yet unfinished promotions.com site: http://monopoly.promotions.com/monopoly07/over.do?page=rules.html

But we’ve got it all now! Noticing the page reported the error: “Undefined action: over”, I tried using the action “rules” in the URL (compare the two URLs). So, without further ado, the official rules for McDonalds Monopoly 2007: http://monopoly.promotions.com/monopoly07/rules.do?page=rules.html

Unfortunately, it’s not looking that exciting this year. Toys R’ Us Bucks instead of Best Buy Bucks, and with much crappier odds no less. There will, however, be some tie-in with American Express gift cards. This will require careful analysis of the rules. Feel free to comment below with ideas on maximizing profit from this promotion!

I’ll post an analysis of the rules here shortly!

I went to McDonalds on Friendship Road in Buford, Georgia this morning and ordered two hasbrowns but never got a game piece. They advertise that there are two game pieces on the hashbrown wrapper?????

Yeah, Im in Georgia too, makes me scared to buy them here near Macon. But Im looking for code trading sites on the internet, haven’t found that many.

LOL!!!! That is so stupid. But, it gets better. I bought a #1 and an extra hash brown. On the extra hash brown I did not recieve my game pieces. When I complained I was told that the game pieces come with the MEALS ONLY. That has to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

There is nothing to stop the employees from giving out the game pieces to others short of their management. I play because I, like the author of the blog, remember the game from when I was a kid. I dont think I have a snowball chance in the fire pit to win, but it amuses me.

I think its funny when they “run out” of game pieces before the games ends. I have once; said okay I would like to cancel my order then. The cashier stated that I could not cancel my order; and I fired back with the fact that the company cannot falsly advertise with a promotion and then end the promotion before its experation date. It does probably say in fine print that if they run out of codes, the company is not liable – blah, blah, blah, but they did give me my money back.

I want to know where to go to enter the codes I have for the Monopoly Game at McDonalds.

i have parkplace.. im in stone mountain trying to find the lucky person that has boardwalk so we can both get some money

Okay this is to answer #7. For some reason the website seems to hang up on certain letters when you key them in. So if you enter “MX65J…” It might only show on the screen “MX6J…” Check what is on the screen to what you’ve typed, and you’ll probably see a letter or digit dropped. (I’ve tried different computers & the same happens)

i noticed that they gave the instant million dollar award to the 2006 winner IN PERSON at a mcdonalds store. don’t tell me it wasn’t rigged. they always are.

  • 11 richard kenney // Oct 25, 2007 at 4:53 pm

has anyone else been ripped off playing the online monoply game ?
Seems the game is rigged. You always land on the same places every time around. Today I rolled a 7 from free parking that should have landed me on my $5000.00 winning space i needed. it only moved six when the dice clearly said 7. I WAS RIPPED OFF !

While I think that u r a good writer who knows so much about technology & credit cards, that it’s unreal…I have 2 say that Imo, that’s not really fair that u get 2 have the game pieces & Bonus bucks “virtually free” when I & others have paid money 2 get the dumb things. Yeah, maybe u have a legal contract or something going on w/McDonalds & Best Buy (well, lucky u), but 4 the rest of us…..As 4 winning anything, I myself have won food things, like med. fries or a small coffee. Big whup!! In the end, it’s just more calories & fat! I’ll b thinking twice about participating in this “game”/promotion again in the future.

[…] The air is getting colder, the days are getting shorter, and the lines at the McDonald’s drive-thru are getting longer. That’s right, it’s that time of year: McDonald’s Monopoly time. We’re pushing it to the limit, just like old times. […]

I PLAYED THIS GAME 2009 AND THE DICE WOULD ROLL A NUMBER BUT WOULD MOVE 1 NUMBER LESS OR MORE. ALSO FOR 2010 BCUZ I FORGOT TO PUT A RETURN ADRESS ON THE ENVOLOPE THAT I SEND TO RECIEVE MY GAME PIECE, I DON’T GET THEM. I CALLED THE TOLL FREE # FOR INFORMATION ON THIS AND WAS NOT TOLD THAT PART. aLSO I DON’T THINK GAME PIECES SHOULD BE GIVEN OUT AT MCDONALD STORES. EMPLOYEES/EMPOYERS CAN GIVE THEM AWAY TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS. DO LIKE WALMART DOES. WHEN PEOPE PURCHASE SOMETHING , HAVE A CODE PUT ON THEIR RECIEPT, SEND IT IN FOR GAME PIECES OR USE IT TO PLAY THE MONOPOLY GAME ON THE INTERNET.

[Editor’s reply: Chill out there, Captain Caps Lock, bonus points for at least trying to capitalize the first letter of “also” and inadvertently lower-casing it instead.]
